 * Hello:
 * I tried to make some changes in the functions.php file in the child theme. The
   changes didn’t work so I deleted the file. Now when I choose live preview I’m
   still getting the functions error even though the file has been deleted. I tried
   logging out and back in to my WP admin panel and also deleted all the cookies
   for the site in my browser but the problem persists.
 * Any advice? Thanks.

 * Are you absolutely sure that you deleted the functions.php file from the correct
   theme folder?

 * Yes, I’m sure. In fact, I just went back and disabled the child theme and then
   deleted it. Then I re-created it without the functions.php file and I’m still
   getting the same error when I try live preview.
 * I’m not an expert at this but this seems pretty bizarre to me.

 * Are you running any caching plugin?

 * I didn’t think of that. Yes, W3 Total Cache. So I went in there and chose “empty
   all caches.” Unfortunately, that didn’t solve the problem either.

 * Can you disable all caching temporarily?

 * I deactivated the caching plugin, went back to live preview and lo and behold–
   still not working.
 * BTW – thanks for your help.

 * I have WP set up as multisite. Do you think that would cause this problem?

 * I wouldn’t have thought so. Do your hosts run a web cache?

 * Well, I just solved the problem – I shut down my browser (FF) then restarted
   it and now I can access live preview without the functions error.
 * I thought deleting the cookies would have helped but guess not.
 * Thanks again for your help.
