# Problem with importing data

 * Hello, I’m using ‘wp all import’ plugin and I’ve faced some problems. I have 
   store with more than 500 products, and change them by hand is impossible (takes
   too much time). Therefore I’ve decided to use plugin.
    In ‘wp all import’ I found
   special tab (edit import section -> taxonomies -> Show “private” taxonomies).
   But unfortunately I cannot change settings to translate varibale products.
 * The database consist of such rows as: ID (SKU); Group ID; Name; Description; 
   Attribute 1; Attribute 2; Price; Language (en and ru).
    IDs are unique, but group
   ID is different for each translation.
 * Can you help and guide how to use Wp All Import with Polylang integration?

 * Polyang and WooCommerce integration don’t really affect your import process, 
   at least into base language, since they don’t change the WooCommerce data.
 * The only thing to note is that this plugin does not support creating/import variations
   in the second language, second language variations need to be synchronised from
   base language and cant be copied.
 * The normal process should be:
       1. Import variation products in base language [not part of WooCommerce-Polylang]
    -  1. Add new language to Polylang and translate WooCommerce Pages, Product Categories,
          Product Tags, Product Attributes
    -  1. Import products without variations into secondary language
    -  1. Open each product for editing and in the language panel, link the product
          up with it’s translation: press save and the variations should be copied 
          across
 * Your description isn’t clear so I don’t know if this helps:

   thank you for answer.
    I’ve [found tutorial](https://vimeo.com/205053285), and
   it shows how to integrate products. Unfortunately I do not have such tab in “
   wp all import” plugin which connects products by sku.
 * Regarding group ID – it is feature of WPAI and it is [the way of creating variation products](http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/woocommerce/variable-products/).

 * As a general point, importing products with WPAI has nothing to do with Polylang
   or with this plugin, you need to ask on WPAI forum.
 * As far as I can see the only Polylang relevance is to set the language in Polyland
   and set the correct language code during the import, which again WPAI is advising
   you how to do and has nothing to do with this plugin.
 * Posts, Pages, Product and other translations are linked in Polylang by using 
   the language panel that appears on the post edit page. That is also nothing to
   do with this plugin: see the Polylang help if not clear.

    Yes, the product attributes
   are normally synchronised between translations, that’s exactly the reason it 
   is not normally necessary to import all the detail in the other languagues, because
   as soon as the products are linked up, the details will be synchronised over.
 * This especially applies to variations as previously indicated.

   help manage which product information is synchronised, please check the documentation:

 * I see that WP All Import is a commercial product: please note this woo-poly plugin
   is not a commercial product and is only supported by volunteers in their spare
   time, so if you need help with the import, please direct your enquiries to the
   import plugin.

   with the Hyyan plugin.

 * Good afternoon, sorry for disturbing. I have one more question: do you plan to
   make same [function](https://polylang.pro/doc/product-csv-importer-and-exporter/)
   as Polylang for WooCommerce has?
    They use [new import and export schema](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Product-CSV-Import-Schema).

 * I am not sure about their approach: if you import all the languages in the same
   file then, for the fields which are supposed to be the same across all languages
   which data wins?
 * Also the importer in WooCommerce 3.1 is quite new and still has some problems,
   for example if there are commas in any of your categories or attributes. Also
   for me it didn’t work for variations (even without polylang) and I ran out of
   time to investigate further.
 * There is some discussion and updates in the 1.0.2 branch:

 * (the update for now is if you import updates to existing products in one language,
   it will synchronise the meta and product attributes to the other languages according
   to the settings for this plugin).
 * Lastly, please note, you should not raise new questions on an existing issue.
