# Problem with multiple sites having an identical locale

 * Really great plugin! – no problems until the following scenario came up:
   I have
   four websites in a multisite setup with the URL structure
    1. domain1.com -> de_DE
    2. domain1/en.com -> en_En
    3. domain2.com -> de_DE
    4. domain2/en.com -> en_En
 * which means there are two websites with a German and English version each, where
   site 1. should be “language switched” to site 2. and site 3. to site 4.
 * This doesn’t seem to work properly, presumably because many functions in MSLS
   are based on the locale which exist twice each in my present setup.
   I’m still
   able to find the correct translation URL by using the msls_output() function.
   The main problem comes up when trying to save the connection between any two 
   pages in the Multisite Language Switcher box within the respective edit pages.
   On the pages of site 1. and 2. nothing is saved at all in the MSLS box, whereas
   with site 3. and 4. one of the site 1./2. pages is saved along with the selected
   translation page, even if the former wasn’t selected at all.
 * Is there a way to hide site 1./2. from site 3./4. and vice versa within MSLS,
   or is there perhaps another conceivable solution? (I’m using plugin version 2.9.6)

 * On the other hand, you could also try to use 2 different users and set the reference

 * Thank you Dennis for the quick response!
 * By experimenting with the reference user I discovered that my problem seems to
   be related to the post IDs in the first place. More specificly, it occurs only
   when I try to connect in website 1./2. to a page of site 2. that has the same
   post ID as an existing page in site 4.
 * Since I don’t have very many pages: In my case it’s easy to move some of the 
   pages to another post ID, so that there are no conflicting post IDs any more.
 * I’m sure that the multi network solution would work too, but in my case my workaround
   seems to be easier to implement.
