# Problem with navigation menu

 * I am having a problem with the links generated using wp_nav_menu().
 * For some reason, if you are on a page that is linked in the menu the href attribute
   equals “./” instead of “[http://example.com/about/&#8221](http://example.com/about/&#8221);
   which is more of a preferable output.
 * Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening?

 * I forgot to mention that it was running locally on wampserver.
 * I have done some tests and it appears it was a plugin called WP HTML Compression
   that was causing the issue with the theme.
 * I will raise the issue with the plugin author.
