 * As you can see [here](http://barackobamabiography.org/), anywhere I have a ‘
I get a strange ?. I added the content with it inside index.php of my theme.
Is there any way to get rid of them? Thank you!

 * Yes. First of all do not write content in a word processor and then try to paste
it directly into the WordPress post/page editor. If you must use a word processor
to write text then always copy the text to the clipboard, paste it into Notepad(
assuming that you use Windows – if not then some other plain text editor), THEN
recopy it to the clipboard from the plain text editor and then paste it into
   the WordPress editor.
 * By doing that you’ll strip out all the wacky characters.
 * Or you could just load Firefox browser to write posts in WordPress since Firefox
has a pretty good spell checker built right in 🙂

 * I DID use Word but I just tried pasting the first paragraph from word to notepad
to my theme and the problem persists 🙁
 * Please note this is in my index.php theme file, not within a wordpress post.
Couple that be causing the problem?

 * You might have to start with some clean text because now the odd quote chars
and apostrophes have already been converted to funky chars due to character set
incompatibilities. Bummer. I don’t know of a way to fix that without manually
changing them all one by one. That’s not to say there isn’t a way, I just don’t
   know of one offhand.
