problem with the database (I think)

    I got a WordPress site hosted by Godaddy and the domain is Godaddy too.
    I installed the WordPress via Godaddy easy install with “WordPress hosting” and started to upload backups and such..

    by the way, my WordPress is on Hebrew so this is not exactly the way it is written but it’s free translation.

    When I upload the xml backup file it shows me “error importing media “2013-07-08 23.21.35” and the same thing with all photos.

    I called Godaddy and they said they can’t resolve the problem and I should ask for help in this forum.

    Any solutions? thank you.

    I don’t see a file called “upload permissions” in the wp-content folder

    No, no. Check permissions of the wp-content/uploads directory. Might change to writeble for everyone and tru importing.

    If the ‘#’ sign is added only, there might be a JavaScript error on the viewed page.

    I’m trying to walk through the page about the js but after changing the uploads to writeable, it’s just shows a blank page after pressing “upload and import”

    YES!!!! thank god! turning on the js debugging solved the problem, but i’m still having problem with the xml import

    This morning I read that somebody splited the import file.
    Import in chunks. You could try that 😉
