# Problem With Thesis Theme

 * A developer installed Thesis on my site in 2014. It has never been updated. I
   would like to update it, but as best I can determine the Thesis theme is no longer
   available. Is this true? The website for Thesis suggests that it is now included
   in a theme called “Focus,” but I can’t find any information about focus beyond
   that site. No reviews, nothing. I’m wondering what to do – whether to move to
   a new theme altogether, and if so how to go about that. Thanks in advance!

 * Thesis was discontinued a while ago, and you are correct that the developer recommends
   Focus instead.
 * You don’t have to switch to that though, there are 7,788 free themes to choose
   from: [https://wordpress.org/themes/browse/new/](https://wordpress.org/themes/browse/new/)

 * Thanks – I was under the impression that Thesis was a really popular theme, so
   I was having a hard time accepting the conclusion that it had been discontinued.

 * It was very popular, many many years ago. Developers do move on sometimes. 🙂
