# problem with transfer

 * hi!
 * i want to transfer my website from my localhost to my webserver.
    I transfered
   my myql database and i loaded everything on the server.
 * now safari shows that the website can’t be loaded.
    and it says that the websites
   name is “[http://example5.ex.ohost.de:8888/ds1/&#8221](http://example5.ex.ohost.de:8888/ds1/&#8221);
   i don’t know why there is the :8888. i use mamp for my localhost and there i 
   can always see :8888. i’m out of ideas.

 * Did you change the urls in Settings>>>General as looks like they are still localhost
   urls.

 * Did you replace all the old links and file paths in the SQL from the local database
   before importing into the live one? If not, or if not done properly, this can
   cause multiple problems.
 * Links and upload paths are serialized in many database records. A simple search-
   and-replace will make those serialized values invalid and break all references
   to them.
