• I’ve just switched to using Koy Vinh’s Basic Maths theme for my blog at http://www.hwickline.com and I’m having a problem with the date– specifically, the first two characters of the year show up as black diamonds with question marks in them, which I think indicates a problem with Unicode characters, or character encoding in general, maybe?

I’m on Mac OS 10.6 and the problem shows up in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. To add insult to injury, it shows up fine in Internet Explorer 5, though of course the rest of the page is all messed up there.

The black diamonds also show up throughout the CSS, though I can’t figure out if it’s a particular character that’s causing it.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?
