# Problem with wordpress.slack.com

 * Hi,
 * I use wordpress.slack.com for my work and contribute in Persian Language for 
   themes and plugin and other use. but because for new change in slack.com my account
   is deactivate. i contact with slack but they said can’t help me. is it possible
   change my username or account in slack for reactivate my account?

 * Please note, we recommend you _DO NOT_ attempt to get around this ban with a 
   VPN or anything of that sort. Contact Slack. Explain to them you were an innocent.
   And wait.
 * It sucks, I know, but trying to circumvent bans like this, when you know exactly
   why it happened, _even when they’re wrong_, sends a message that you’re not fully
   trustworthy 🙁 This is obviously not correct, you’re just trying to work, but
   the monolithic machine that is a company doesn’t see it that way. They see “This
   is a banned account who’s trying to break our rules and get around it by hiding
   who they are. We can’t trust them.”
 * This is generally true of all bans, and yes, it’s frustrating and annoying and
   upsetting. In your case, it’s outright damaging. But whatever you do, don’t make
   it worse.
