# Problems adding categories

 * Hi, I seem to be having problems adding and displaying new product categories.
 * This morning I tried adding 3 new categories with [https://www.bvm.co.uk/category/](https://www.bvm.co.uk/category/)**
   computers**/**handheld-pcs-and-rugged-tablets**/ as the parent category.
 * This is one of the new categories I added.

   mactron-medical-healthcare**/
 * The new category “mactron-medical-healthcare” doesn’t show in products\categories
   in the WordPress admin area. It does show if I search for the category. I can
   add products to the category.
 * It doesn’t show on the front end of my website as a category. The category does

 * If I change the parent to none or to [https://www.bvm.co.uk/category/computers/](https://www.bvm.co.uk/category/computers/)
   everything shows correctly.

   bvm.co.uk/category/computers/panel-pcs/all-panel-pcs/dan-test (doesnt show)

   works) bvm.co.uk/category/computers/handheld-pcs-and-rugged-tablets/dan-testing(
   doesnt work) bvm.co.uk/category/computers/industrial-and-embedded-systems/dan-

   amd-solutions/dan-testing (doesn’t work)
 * The handheld category has no sub categories, I cant add any new categories.
    
   The industrial and embedded system category already has sub categories, I can
   add new categories.

 * You’ll first want to check whether this is caused by a plugin/theme conflict 
   with WooCommerce.
      The best way to determine this is to[do a conflict test here.](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/)

 * Hi, thanks for the reply. I disabled all plugins except Woocommerce and the problem
   went away. I could see the missing categories.
 * I enabled plugins a few at a time, with all plugins re-activated the problem 
   seems to have gone away.
 * I will do some more testing over the weekend.
