# Problems installing Chateau

 * I don’t know why, but I simply cannot install Chateau on my site, [http://www.withoutachaperone.com](http://www.withoutachaperone.com).
   I first tried to do it for free, since one of my friends is able to without a
   problem using the search options on WordPress Install Themes, but it wouldn’t
   come up when I searched for it (which I gathered from my searches of the forums
   can be a problem, though I couldn’t really find an explanation as to why).
 * Then yesterday I finally purchased it from the designer. I downloaded the zip
   file (though the file itself did not have a .zip extension). I attempted to upload
   the file under the Appearance>Themes>Install Themes>Upload. It would not let 
   me click “choose file” and select it that way (the file I wanted would never 
   become bold, indicating that it was an option) so I dragged it onto the Upload
   screen. After I hit “Install Now” I would get this message:
 * “Safari can’t open the page “[http://withoutachapterone.com/wp_admin/update.php?action=upload-theme&#8221](http://withoutachapterone.com/wp_admin/update.php?action=upload-theme&#8221);.
   The error is: “The operation couldn’t be completed. Is a directory” (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:
   21) Please choose Safari> Report Bugs to Apple, note the error number, and describe
   what you did before you saw this message.”
 *  If I hit refresh, it says “Are you sure you want to do this?” Which I would 
   be happy to click yes for, but there is no visible yes or no.
 * In Firefox, it won’t let me select the file (even after I added .zip to it). 
   When I did this at home on Firefox it did the same thing as Safari. Now, at work,
   when I drag it onto the “browse” line of the “Install” screen, it is showing 
   me “Index of file” (a list of everything in the folder) with no option to continue.
 * All I want to do is install the theme already! I am approaching my wit’s end,
   so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 * I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from
   the theme’s vendors.
 * Can you download other themes from [http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/](http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/)
   successfully?

 * Yes. Lots of them. I don’t understand why I’m having this problem with Chateau.(
   Should I be able to download Chateau through WordPress?)

 * You cannot download commercial themes via WordPress itself. As Chateau commercial
   theme, you need to seek support from its vendors.
