# Problems with a custom about.php

 * Hi there,
 * I’m trying to make a custom about.php with static content. I try to put it in
   the base wordpress installation folder and it will load, but gets parse errors
   because it can’t find the header and what not. I try to put it in the theme folder
   but my problem is that I do not want my URL to show for example (www.example.
   com/wordpress/wp-content/themes/temp/about.php). I want it to show (www.example.
   com/about.php) but I want it to load the header from the theme folder. Is there
   anything I can do? Thank you for reading.

 * if you customize it enough you dont have to load the theme header
    then pick 
   the template when you create a page. that solves one problem but as far as [http://www.example.com/about.php](http://www.example.com/about.php)
   im not sure =(

 * Other then copying and pasting what I want and making a new page through wordpress,
   I won’t get what I want. I mean, if I hack wordpress up and modify everything,
   I doubt it will work in an easy fashion. Thank you anyway.
