# Problems with Amazon’s 429 errors

 * Hi all! I operate q quite extensive site with lot’s of links. As I talk at length
   about literature, many links point towards Amazon in its different flavours, 
   mainly amazon.fr and amazon.de. For some months now, I have been witnessing an
   increasingly annoying behaviour. More and more links to amazon are reported as
   429 errors and subsequently barred although they are still working perfectly.
   When I take a look at the HTML-output, it tells me that, for automated access
   to amazon’s site, I should contact the API-team.
 * Is there any way to resolve this ?

 * I hope you are doing well and sorry to hear you are having this issue.
 * The problem is that we don’t have a direct integration to Amazon website, the
   Broken link checker will use a cURL request to validate if the link is valid 
   or not and Amazon usually block those requests.

 * For 429 it means too many requests [https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/broken-link-checker/#429-too-many-requests](https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/broken-link-checker/#429-too-many-requests),
   which means Amazon identified the multiple access coming from the plugin and 
   blocked it.
 * I also tested our Cloud engine and unfortunately the same problem happens.
 * As you mentioned you have multiple links the best approach would be ignoring

   and focusing on other links, or manually checking the reported ones.
