    Hi,

I’ve recently noticed that Google Search Console is failing to index a lot pages from my websites.

I have a lot of pages that are ‘Discovered but not indexed’.

I know this might not be a problem with TSF plugin, but I wanted to see if anyone is experiencing the same issues or has any advice?

The only thing I can think of is maybe it’s Google’s fault.

GSC is also reading my SiteMaps but is reading, for example, 12 pages when there is 14.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello!

Please follow these steps to find a proper solution. Looking at the symptoms (“Discovered but not indexed”), it’s unlikely TSF is the cause of the issue.

    Hi,

having a similar issue. Went through TSF settings many times and everything seems fine there, still all my pages that are set to ‘index’ only contain this line, missing the ‘index’ part:

    <meta name=”robots” content=”max-snippet:-1,max-image-preview:standard,max-video-preview:-1″ />

Is this expected behavior or could something else interfere with the meta-tag generation? Don’t have any other SEO plugins and already checked other possible conflicts so hoping for a hint in the right direction.

    Hi Julian,

“index” is implied; there is no need to output it. https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/robots/robots_meta_tag#directives

all: There are no restrictions for indexing or serving. This directive is the default value and has no effect if explicitly listed.

When a directive isn’t listed, it implies “allow” to index/follow/archive/etc.

If the canonical URL correctly points to the page you’re inspecting, then TSF cannot be the reason your pages aren’t indexed properly. If you wish me to examine the cause, please open a new topic. But be sure to follow the steps in my previous reply first.

    Hi Sybre,

thanks so much for your super-fast reply! I appreciate the help.

Wasn’t aware of that so thanks for the learning. The website and sitemap were submitted via Search Console just a few days ago so I’ll probably just have to be a little patient then.

Thanks again, gonna make sure to leave a review for your plugin. Have a great day!
