 * I use Firefox and everything was going finewith the theme customisation until
   I thought I’d just double check it in IE!! The blog part of my site is at [http://www.technohippy.org.uk/blog/](http://www.technohippy.org.uk/blog/)
   and when viewed in Internet Explorer the main section of it is not displayed
   until after the sidebar, yet in Firefox it displays next to it as it should.
 * Any suggestions?

 * It is always caused by an item in the sidebar or in the content area that is
   wider than the width of the container element. It could be an image, a long link,
   a code line etc.
    Also, be aware that IE counts differently the total of width
   + margin + border + padding… than FF. [http://tantek.com/CSS/Examples/boxmodelhack.html](http://tantek.com/CSS/Examples/boxmodelhack.html)

 * Nice one, one of my items in the sidebar was too wide.

 * I’m having difficulty figuring out to custom modify the default page template.
   If you go to [http://www.beyourowndetective.com/blog/](http://www.beyourowndetective.com/blog/)
   you will see I added my own custom table code with graphics, but it’s way below
   the header tag. I want it to be at the very top of the page with the H1 heading
   below it. I tried moving <?php get_header(); ?> below my table code, which sort
   of works, but it turns the entire page background color grey, and probably does
   other weird things to the page. I want it to be white.
 * To be honest I’m not even sure if I am using the template editor correctly. Can
   I add my own custom html table codes and have them function properly? WordPress
   does have comprehensive help documentation, but it’s very confusing to follow.
 * My form code at the bottom of the page appears to be ok.
 * Also if I want to add an “Ads by Google” banner to the sidebar of my pages, is
   this not too difficult to do?

 * [@netdetective](https://wordpress.org/support/users/netdetective/),
    wrong topic!
   This topic is about [Pages](http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages) and your question
   is about the index.php (Main) template. Start your own topic (with one question).
