 * Thanks for the plugin. I decided to make translations of recipes from Polylang.
Figured out how to make different recipe templates for different languages, although
I thought it would be a problem.
 * But I have another problem that I don’t know how to solve. When I manually want
to translate a recipe, I get empty category fields popping up. In all fields
it says “No options”. If I fill in the Courses, Cuisines and Keywords fields
each time, they are saved and displayed on the site, but when editing the article
later it says “No options” in the fields.

 * In the original article, which is the original everything works fine. Naturally,
I added all the new categories under the new language in the Manage section.

 * That’s strange. Are those terms showing up on the WP Recipe Maker > Manage >
Recipe Fields pages? Or only when you have the original language selected as
   well?

 * The fields are displayed in all languages. I have tried switching. I translate
   to English.

 * Interestingly, if you edit the translated recipe via Manage and enable all languages
or the original language (Ukrainian), the fields work.

 * If I turn on English, it doesn’t work.

 * I’m not sure why it’s not showing anything in that dropdown for you. Will put
it on the todo list to do some testing with Poylang and see if I can replicate
the issue. You are still able to create recipes as needed, right? It’s just the
   suggestions that don’t work, basically?

 * I can create recipes, but I just have to manually write the categories when translating.
It’s more convenient to choose from a drop-down list.
 * Tried a bunch of plugins on a completely different site and on a different hosting.
Same problem. It pops up “No options”.

 * I thought I would translate part of it through Gutenberg and the rest through
Manage, but the plugin constantly creates duplicates of all fields. I deleted
the duplicates and already selected the ready-made ingredients or cuisines, but
the duplicates are created according to some incomprehensible principle.

 * It could be polylang linking 1 term to 1 language and the other to the other
language. Will have to test that as well.

 * The update is out. I see that no one has addressed the issue.

 * I was indeed not able to include this in the 10.2.0 update, I’m afraid. I am
running things on my own and with development, support, marketing and so on,
I have plenty on my plate. Unfortunately that does mean that I need to push some
things back from time to time. I do still have this on the todo list, but there
were other priorities. We do not have many users that are using Polylang.
 * Once Black Friday has passed, I should have some more time on my hands again
and be able to look into this in depth. If you send an email to [support@bootstrapped.ventures](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problems-with-polylang-8/support@bootstrapped.ventures?output_format=md)
I might be able to get you a beta version, if I can find a fix.
 * Kind regards,

 * I did find some time to look into it some more today.
 * Could you try enabling the [default WordPress UI for taxonomies](https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/docs/wp-recipe-maker/show-default-wordpress-ui-for-taxonomies/)
and see what language they are associated with there? Does changing the language
there make it show up in the dropdown?

 * I turned it on, but I don’t understand what to do next. Where and what should
   I look at?

 * You’ll want to edit the taxonomies and enable “Archive Pages”. Then in your sidebar
you will find a new “Taxonomies” menu, right underneath the “WP Recipe Maker”
menu, where you can click through to the different taxonomies, and check the
   Polylang language.

 * Did you enable “Has Archive Pages” by editing the different taxonomies on the
_WP Recipe Maker > Manage > Your Custom Fields_ page first? Make sure to reload
the page as well after doing that.

 * Are the languages correct for those terms? And is this how it shows up in the
dropdown when the correct language is selected (so the terms marked as English
show up in the dropdown when you have English selected)?
