Please post a URL with *all* plugins disabled and TwentyFourteen theme activated so that we can see the issues.

It’s now working since making them edits, so I’ll slowly revert back and see what is causing these issues.
Right I’ve found the problem, it appears to be the Akismet plugin although it seems updated so not really sure how to progress with this?

Great that it’s working. Akismet, hm – that’s surprising because Akismet is really well-tested, almost part of the WordPress core.
There’s an Akismet Support site: http://akismet.com/support/
Not sure what to suggest except not using Akismet. (There are some other comment-spam-protection solutions.)

What if:
I disabled all plugins (My custom theme active) – No Visual Editor not working
I changed the theme to Twenty Fourteen (with all plugins disabled) – Visual Editor works
Is this due to Plugins? Is the theme broken? What do I do?

If it works with plugins disabled and the default theme activated, but doesn’t work with plugins disabled and your custom theme activated, that indicates that the problem is with your custom theme.
Would you please start a new forum thread with this? It should get better attention that way.

I have the exact same problems as tony (unable to add media, add tags and also use the visual tab…) but it’s not the Akismet plugin for me…
