 * Hello,
    I installed v2.9.x as a plugin, but didn’t activate it for various reasons.
   Now I’ve updated to v3.0.1, which went without any problems. But when I activated
   it, my WordPress went on strike and didn’t want to run anymore. As an error message
   I could see the following in the recovery mode of WordPress:
 * Ein Fehler vom Typ E_ERROR wurde in der Zeile 268 der Datei /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxx.
   xxxxxx.xxxxx.xx/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeVersionUpdatesHandler.
   php verursacht. Fehlermeldung: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method autoptimizeOptionWrapper::
   delete_option() in /var/www/vhosts/xxxxxx.xxxxxxx.xxxxxxx.xx/xxxxxxx/wp-content/
   plugins/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeVersionUpdatesHandler.php:268 Stack trace:#
   0
    … etc. I can e-mail you the full error message if you like.

 * ah, weird that that bug went unnoticed for so long (the code dates from Dec.
   2020). I fixed it in the beta, could you;
 * 1. download [https://github.com/futtta/autoptimize/archive/refs/heads/beta.zip](https://github.com/futtta/autoptimize/archive/refs/heads/beta.zip)

   2. install it by going to plugins -> new -> upload to upload the zip from (1)
   3. deactivate Autoptimize 3.0.1 4. enable Autoptimze 3.0.2-beta-0
 * to see if that fixes that nasty error?

 * The beta version helped. After installing the 3.0.2 beta 0, the error when activating
   the plugin no longer occurs and WordPress seems to work normally again.

 * thanks for confirming, I’ll make sure the fix is included in AO 3.0.2 when that
   comes out 🙂

 * As a result of the test, I now have 2 Autoptimize plugins in my plugin overview
   in WordPress and in the WordPress file directory. In principle, how could I uninstall
   both completely, including all database entries and directories, and then reinstall
   the new version with the new standard settings?
 * thanks a lot

 * deactivating the active one and then deleting from the WordPress admin plugins
   page should remove all traces of AO on your system [@detoris](https://wordpress.org/support/users/detoris/),
   at which point installing the future 3.0.2 should indeed come with the new default
   options.

 * I have now deactivated both versions and deleted them in WordPress. But they
   don’t seem to be completely erased. Via ftp I can see that the folder wp-content/
   cache/autoptimize still exists. Unfortunately, I can’t quickly determine whether
   there are still leftovers in the WordPress database.

 * We had the same issue on a client’s site. [@optimizingmatters](https://wordpress.org/support/users/optimizingmatters/)
   would be great if you could push the updated code out asap or disable v3.0.1
   so it doesn’t affect other people’s sites.
    Thanks
