• Today I was attempting to mark a product as discontinued and it does not save the setting. I select the checkbox, choose ‘Product Specific Message’ and save the product/post. The setting does not stick and resets to unchecked.

    This might help. It was a response from SaffireTech to this problem:

    “We looked into the issue you’re facing and found that it may be occurring because the “Mark this entire product as ‘Discontinued’ once its stock becomes zero” option is enabled under the Inventory tab of the product page.

    Please note that the “Mark whole product as discontinued” feature in the Discontinue Products tab works directly with the stock functionality. Since both options overlap, only one can be active at a time. This is why the setting for marking the whole product as discontinued is not being saved.

    To resolve the issue, please follow one of the approaches below when editing your product:

    • Option 1: Use the “Mark this entire product as ‘Discontinued’ once its stock becomes zero” setting from the Inventory tab and do not enable the “Mark whole product as discontinued” option in the Discontinue Products tab.
    • Option 2: Disable stock tracking for the product, then use only the “Mark whole product as discontinued” option in the Discontinue Products tab.
