    For years I’ve been able to access both Product Descriptions – long and SHORT. I can no longer see in WordPress where I can access the SHORT description for updates. I can still see both long and short descriptions on my product pages on the fornt-end, but CANNOT find where I can edit the SHORT description anymore. Please help.

    In my WordPress/WooCommerce Product Edit Screen I can only access long description – I CANNOT find how to get SHORT description back.

  • Ensure it is enabled in screen options which is in the top right hand corner of the product edit screen.

    Greetings @lorro – this tab works on every screen except PRODUCT. When I click “screen options” when editing a product – nothing happens. No dropdown to select visuals – nothing.

    Works fine for me so its possible your theme or one of your plugins is blocking it.

    Temporarily switch to the Storefront theme and deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. Does it work now? I expect it does. Reactivate your theme and plugins one by one and check to try to identify what’s causing the problem.

    @lorro – okay, I’ll have to conduct a maintenance session this weekend or one night late this week. Thanks for the recommendation – I’ll post my findings.

    @rynald0s – no, not just yet. I have not had a chance due to other priorities. However, I am attempting to do so today or tomorrow as I need to address it – so I will need to make time. Hope to have some feedback to share in the next 48 hours. Thanks for checking-in.

    Just had this same issue. Looks like a bug in ACF Pro. Went into custom fields and re-saved settings. Problem solved. Go figure.

    Checking on mine now – I do not have ACF Pro installed, so it must be another one… Will report findings once completed.

    @riverharbor @rynald0s @lorro – looks like it is my theme! I’m using X Theme by Themeco, I’ve had some hiccups here and there with this theme. Google Recipe errors, etc. Any recommendations of a theme I could switch to that would give me the same kind of look and feel I have now? For now, I switched back to the theme after I made my updates. I’m not glued to keeping this theme…
