Product sorting option doesn’t appear when using [products] shortcode

I’m a little baffled. For a few weeks I’ve battled with finding a solution for adding simple sorting functionality to a page where I’m using the products shortcode. I know WooCommerce has some sorting functionality built in for the shop/archive pages, but why it it so difficult get get sorting on the [prodcucts] shortcode. Is there an easy workaround? I have searched high and low for a plugin but perhaps I’m missing something. Can someone set me straight?

The easiest way to have built-in sorting when displaying products on a page is to try
All Products Blockavailable within WooCommerce plugin when using Gutenberg editor. There are also extra blocks available as a separate plugin:– https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-gutenberg-products-block/
