# Profile Permalink Base Options

 * Is there a way to change the Profile Permalink Base beyond the limited options
   available? If the profile is a company, then first name last name makes no sense.
   Usernames can’t be changed later so I don’t want them stuck with that. There 
   must be a way to have more choices for the permalink structure?
 * For example I’d like to choose Display Name as the option.
 * Even better, I’d like it to be role conditional. In other words, if a user registers
   with the role Company, I want the permalink structure to be /company/company_name
 * If a user registers as customer, I’d like the permalink structure to be /customer/
   firstname-lastname.
 * There must be a way to do this.

 * Unfortunately, the only closer ones are the User ID and Display Name. This requires
   customization on your end. We don’t have a custom code for this but hopefully,
   someone in the forum has done something similar and share their solution here.
