I have installed Ultimate plugin as well as the Ultimate Member – Enable Profile Photo in Register form (https://snipboard.io/4CtXRr.jpg) and have included it in my registration form and made it a mandatory field; however, it does not seem to be working.

When new people register and upload their photo, it does not get associated with the account, and the photo does not show in their profile. When I receive notification that a new user has registered, under the Profile Photo I receive something like this: Stream_photo_da140b34_b889658e2742216eac0444c5bac4ae1296dac623.jpeg instead of the the correct pah to the image.

I’ve done some research and the path should be /wp-content/uploads/ultimatemember/{user_id}/.

The meta key that is assigned when I click on the Predefined Fields – Profile Photo is: register_profile_foto (https://snipboard.io/8tNWZR.jpg). I have tried making it a Upload Image from the Setup new field; however, when I enter the meta key: profile_photo I get an error saying it is reserved and that I can’t use it (https://snipboard.io/s695ko.jpg). I am very confused, and I need to get this issue resolved. I would really appreciate any help.

I can’t reproduce your issue with Registration Profile Photo upload
with the free UM Extended plugin.

Try to do both a Theme and a Plugin conflict test, if your Theme
or another of your active Plugins is causing a conflict with UM.

Your “Quick Contact Form” plugin is a suspect.

    Hi missveronica..

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.. The issue that I am having is not in the front end. Using the form you can upload an image without any problems. The problem is that the user profile does not show the image, so I guess my issue has to do with the back end. I apologize if if am not explaining myself properly.

Have you tried to do the Theme and Plugin conflict test?

    Hello @centrald777,

There is no way to upload the profile photo on registration in the core plugin. You can do this with the “Ultimate Member – Enable Profile Photo in Register form” plugin from the Extended package.

This plugin uploads a photo to the temporary file and adds info to the um-register-profile-photo cookie. After the registration the extension searches the uploaded photo by a cookie and saves it to the profile_photo.{$ext} file in the member’s folder and updates the profile_photo usermeta, so Ultimate Member can recognize this photo.

Verify that the um-register-profile-photo cookie exists on registration. Verify that the profile_photo.{$ext} file is created in the member’s folder after the registration.

Hello.. I discovered what the issue is.. Apperently the um-profile-photo module that I have is outdated and not compatible with the Ultimate Members new release. Does any one know where I can download the updated version?. The one in Github is from 2 years ago, and thet is the issue that I had.

    Hello @centrald777

You can download the “Ultimate Member – Enable Profile Photo in Register form” plugin from the Extended package.

Click the Individual-Extensions.zip link on the Releases page to download the ZIP file with all free extensions. Then follow the Setup guide for individual extensions to install the plugin from the um-profile-photo.zip file to your website.
