    Hello,

First, sorry for my english. It’s not my native language 🙂

In this page : ultimatelysocial.com/gdpr, Ultimately Social says

Social media sites may track visitors where embedded codes are used.
Some features in our plugins use embedded codes as provided by social media sites. This means that as soon as the visitor arrives on your site, the embedded codes are loaded, and Facebook et al. get to know your visitor’s IP.

But, in order to be fully GDPR compliant, I have to allow users to block social media’s cookies.

And for this purpose, I use the GDPR Cookie Compliance plugin (developed by Moove). In this plugin, I put the 3rd party plugin’s <script> code (In your case, the one that put those embedded codes) in a field by copy-paste.

Is it possible to give us the possibility to copy and paste this code
? It would be great, cause I (and 30,000+ webmasters) am using this GDPR cookie plugin.
And your plugin is really awesome !

    Clément

  • Hi Clement,

    Your english is magnifique! 🙂

There are separate things going on here. One is the setting of cookies, and another topic is the tracking of users via IP. Regarding the cookies, if you don’t use the pop-up selections as mentioned on ultimatelysocial.com/gdpr, no cookies will be set.

And regarding the tracking of the IP (by the social media sites), no tracking will happen when users arrive on the page if you use the one-link solutions available in this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ (we will guide you how to do that). So you also don’t need to add it into any other plugin.

    Does that clarify things?

Note: This is no legal advice.
