# Query error while processing form submission

 * Hi, I tried searching the forum first, so hopefully this isn’t a repeat. We are
   noticing an issue on submit that we had not seen a few months ago. Unfortunately,
   we don’t get a lot of use of this form, so I can’t say that it corresponds to
   any specific time and/or update in our WordPress site. The error occurs any time
   someone submits a form. It appears to be related to a query being made by a wordpress
   php file. The form processes in that we can see the entry in the “Recent Form
   Builder Entries” box on the WordPress Dashboard, but the experience for the user
   is that it seems as if the browser hangs, and then when it does finally returns
   and displays the “Your form was successfully submitted” message, it shows an 
   error line at the top of the browser;
    Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet.

 * While we do get the form, the experience for the user leaves them with a browser
   that’s not returning a page unless they wait a long time, so many of them are
   resending the form several times.

 * Hi there Curt, have you tied flushing any browser caching plugins you might have,
   or try deactivating all plugins in your tests? Long form load times can be a 
   result a third-party plugins slowing down the site in some way, or server related
   such as insufficient server settings like PHP version lower than 5.4.

 * If it were just me, then browser caching could be an issue. However, we have 
   multiple reports of this happening from various different users who hit the site.
   Just to be thorough, I cleared the cache on my Firefox browser, and received 
   the same error. With those two data points, I don’t believe it’s a caching issue.
 * I checked to make sure, and we are running PHP 5.5 on our site, so we are not
   on a lower version. Any further thoughts are appreciated.

 * Thanks for getting back to me Curt. Have you tried setting/increase your max_allowed_packet
   size? If you are unfamilar on how to increase this setting your host provider
   should be able to help if you are on a shared hosting.
