# Question about Permalink Setting & WordPress by Yoast Plugin

 * Hi,
 * I’m setting up the WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin. It’s giving me the following
   warning:
 * “You do not have your postname in the URL of your posts and pages, it is highly
   recommended that you do. Consider setting your permalink structure to /%postname%/.”
   And gave me “Ignore” and a “Fix It” buttons. Which option do I choose?
 * In Settings–>Permalinks, I had Custom Structures set to: /%post_name%/
    (note
   the “_”)
 * Do I need to change /%post_name%/, so that it’s the same as the plugins suggestion?
   If I change it will there be any problems?

 * have you ever changed the permalinks before ?
 * /%post_name%/ this is correct to make the plugin work but im puzzled as to why
   you have a _ in the permalink.
 * There could be anotehr plugin that you are using that has changed this, adding
   in the _.
 * changing it could brake the site…..
 * i suggest BACKING UP!!!!!!!! then change the permalink and see what happens if
   it brakes or fails then use the backup.
 * My advice is cautionary and should be used at your risk.. Please dont blame me
   if it brakes i am no wp expert.

 * oops my bad sorry wrong way round /%postname%/ this is correct to make the plugin
   work but im puzzled as to why you have a _ in your current permalink.
