I want to deactivate some of the plugins from product page. I have a lot of products so i dont want to go to each product page to deactivate the plugins.

So i go to the Post types settings, then i deactivate all the plugins that i dont want to load in my product page. See this screenshot -> https://prnt.sc/zkxC1ErheTkl

However when i edit a product, the FPD tab shows “Inactive” . See this screenshot ->https://prnt.sc/kqN83Fr0DICn

Is that normal? or did i miss something? Please advise

    Hi @intheraw

Yes, this is normal if you want the Post Types to have priority on the SIngles settings.

After “Inactive”, you see also “The Post Types settings will override these settings”.

“Inactive” means those settings are inactive and the Post Types settings will override them. If they were active, the Single settings would have precedence on the Post Types settings.

I suggest you read Suggested Workflow on the documentation.

Apart from that, do they work? I mean, if you load a single product on the frontend, does FDP disable the plugins that you set in the Post Types settings? If not so, it would be an issue, and we will investigate it.

As it is now, “Inactive” is like saying “By Post Types”. It means the settings are taken by the Post Types settings. If you activate the switch, the settings will be taken by the Singles settings.

Would it be clearer for you if instead of “Inactive” you saw something to switch between “By these Singles settings” and “By Post Types”?
And if you activate “By these Singles settings” you see the checkboxes related to the Singles settings, while when you activate “By Post Types” you see the checkboxes related to the Post Types settings. Would it be clearer for you?
This wasn’t done yet to don’t complicate the code, and we thought the sentence “The Post Types settings will override these settings” was enough to explain how it works, but I realize it’s not really clear. We will try to make it clearer with future versions.
If you have suggestions they are really welcome.

    Have a great day!

Personally, I think it’s much clearer if the post type settings (i mean all the checkboxes) are the same on the edit page. As a result, any changes made in the post types will be reflected in the edit product page.

For sure all users will easily get that. Thanks for your response.
