 * Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me which option reduces server load, using
Javascript or not. Or does it not make a difference? I’m currently at the limit
of my hosting plan resource-wise so I’d like to select the most efficient option.
 * Also, what would you suggest as a recalculation time for a site that has about
2000 average sessions on daily basis. I currently have it at 2 hours.
 * Many thanks in advance for your help,
 * J.

 * The load on the server won’t be much different whether you use javascript or
not. The same things happen, it just depends on when they happen. If you are
using any sort of page caching, you must use the javascript method for the plugin
   to accurately record conversions.
 * 2 hours seems like a good number for you. This means that the server will do
it’s statistical calculations once every two hours, during the other requests
it uses a much simpler and faster method.

 * That’s great Jason, thanks very much for your help. Great plugin, very glad I
   came across it.

 * Hi Jason, sorry, a couple of follow up questions:
 * What happens to social shares once the plugin starts to display the best title?
Do new shares still display the original title?
 * Also, how soon is the best title “finalized”, in the sense that it’s displayed
more frequently or exclusively to visitors? Or does the plugin keep serving alternate
versions until the less popular ones are actually deleted by me?
 * Thanks again for your help,
 * J.

 * Unfortunately, there is no way to change a social media post after it’s been
shared. The social media sharing aspect of title testing is difficult to manage
since your site has no control over the post once it’s been shared. This means
that someone clicking on a post from Facebook may see a different title than
the one they clicked. This usually isn’t a problem though, since the meaning
of the title should be relatively equivalent.
It’s important to note that people
who come to the post directly from a social media site are not counted among
the ‘views’ since they didn’t see the title printed elsewhere on the site. This
keeps the score of your titles more accurate.
 * The free version of the plugin won’t automatically stop the experiments. You
are right though, that worse performing titles will be shown less and less often.
How long this takes depends on your traffic levels, the titles performance, and
your recalculation interval. The premium version (which we can’t discuss on these
forums) does have that feature. You can get more information from the website:

 * I understand. Thanks again for your help Jason, much appreciated. Marking as
   resolved.
