# question before buying – SQL

 * Is it possible to set the values in the charts through custom SQL?
 * Just to give an example: my large database has persons with birthdays and death
   days. If I want to make a comparative chart showing the average age for men and
   the average age for women (Y-axis) for every century (X-axis), I need to use 
   my own SQL query. That data is not readily available in the database.
 * Is this possible? Or can I only pull data straight from the database or a spreadsheet?

   but it depends on the structure of the database and the query you use. We have

   with some examples of queries that can be user in Visualizer.
