Question Regarding Reddit

    Hi guys,

    I’ve been posting to Reddit for a while now, but on visiting Reddit earlier today, I found that none of the posts were being placed in my subreddit.

    Also, my subreddit is not in the options (the bit where you can choose which subreddit to post to).

    How do I get Blog2Social to post to the correct subreddit?

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I found that none of the posts were being placed in my subreddit.

    It is difficult to give a precise estimation, as different reasons play together when publishing articles on Reddit:

    Some subreddits have e.g. set a karma limit: Only if enough karma is available, posts can be shared and published.
    Still other subreddits use a filter from Reddit, which holds back posts from new subreddit users or posts from users who haven’t posted as often yet. Here it can help to ask the mod of the respective subreddit if he can activate your posts. Other subreddits have very specific posting rules, such as: Only postings with images, only texts and image postings, etc.

    Which subreddits are involved? Then we can give you a more concrete suggestion 🙂

    Also, my subreddit is not in the options

    Is it a private subreddit or are there certain basic requirements for membership in the subreddit (for example: 1000 Karma Points)?

    Nope, its a normal subreddit. One that I created a few years ago and only just picked up on, on re-discovering Reddit.

    Also it appears quite clearly in ‘Sassy Social Share’ where I’m having to share the posts to/from.

    Dunno where the posts are ending up from Blog2Social, but it’s certainly not in my subreddit!

    For info – the subreddit is r/MMsHQblogs

    Hang on – the posts are appearing under u/MMsHQblogs, but still not appearing in the subreddit.

    God knows how this bloody site works…

    Reddit is quite special, that’s true! 🙂

    We could figure out the reason: The posts have been published in u/MMsH… due to an age limit in the corresponding subreddit. For one of the upcoming updates, we are currently examining the possibilities offered by the Reddit API to take age restrictions into account. We’ll keep you posted on the process 🙂
