Questions about single.php and page.php

    Good day. I am a beginner-level wordpress developer.
    I am curious and I would like to know how exactly does single.php is linked to a post?

    And also when do you think I should use a customized page.php or a template page. Thank you.

    Look around the Codex for lots of basic information about WP.

    You should use a customized page when the standard template options won’t work and when you know enough to create a customized page.
