Thanks for trying my plugin!
1. In the future, I’d like to increase trust of customers in the reviews published on the website by adding some verification icon for each review. Such an icon will indicate that the review was submitted via my plugin and can be verified.
I don’t know yet how exactly this should work but the general strategy is to show customers that reviews are collected by a third party (my plugin) who is not as biased as the shop owner. Sending emails with review reminders from a single third-party email address is part of this strategy. And, since all emails are sent from a single third-party address, I need to be able to have control over their templates to make sure that users of my plugin don’t send something inappropriate, forget to add unsubscribe link, or something like this.
2. The requirement of CAN-SPAM Act is to have a physical address in the footer of the email. I cannot verify that all users of the plugin specify a valid address, so I use a default address.
I hope it answers your questions!
@ivole
Are you capturing client data from our store generated orders?
Yes. This data is required to send emails, generate review forms, and save ratings/reviews. The following client data is used:
1. Name
2. Email
3. Products names and prices from the order
Currently, nothing happens to this data after generation of a review form. However, it the future, I’d like to offer shops an option to verify reviews displayed on the websites against the database of my plugin (with some kind of a verification mark).
