 * There’s a new feature, Product Recommender, but what’s the difference between
   that and Abandoned Product? Which one makes more sense to add in my automations?
   This one’s got me scratching my head 😅

 * Hi [@lombardi3](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lombardi3/),
 * Great question — both **Product Recommender** and **Abandoned Products** layouts
   display product information, but they’re designed for slightly different purposes
   depending on your automation trigger and campaign goals.
 * **Abandoned Products layout:**
 * This layout is best used for reminders about specific items that a contact left
   behind or viewed recently.
    - When triggered by the **“Added product to cart”** event, it shows all the
      products that were left in the cart.
    - When triggered by the **“Viewed product”** event, it displays just one product—
      the most recently viewed before the message was sent.
 * This layout works best for **cart or browse abandonment flows**, where the goal
   is to remind someone about the exact items they interacted with.
 * **Product Recommender layout:**
 * The Product Recommender can be used with **any trigger automation** or even **
   campaigns**. It pulls data from multiple recent “viewed product” events and displays
   several items that the contact has recently interacted with — or that are similar
   to previous purchases.
 * This makes it a more dynamic and personalized option for showcasing relevant
   products, rather than focusing on a single session or cart.
 * **In short:**
    - Use **Abandoned Products** to remind contacts about items they didn’t purchase.
    - Use **Product Recommender** to display a broader, more personalized selection
      based on browsing or purchase behavior.
 * The **Product Recommender** layout ultimately offers more flexibility and engagement
   potential, since it can adapt to each contact’s recent activity and highlight
   multiple items in a single message.
 * If you’re deciding which to use, think of it this way: Abandoned Products are
   great for recovering carts, while Product Recommender helps drive repeat engagement
   and discovery. Whichever layout you choose, both can play a big part in helping
   you drive more relevant engagement and grow your sales with less effort.
