# Random gallery plugin?

 * Hello,
 * I’m trying to find a way to build a gallery which displays a subset of the images
   available in a random order.
 * For example:
 * * My gallery has 20 images
    * When I build the gallery I ask it to only display
   9 of them * When somebody views the website it picks a random 9 from the 20 and
   displays them.
 * You can see an example of what I’m trying to build here:

 * If anyone has any pointers on how I might accomplish this I’d appreciate it. 
   I’ve been ransacking plugins for ages without much success.

 * You might also dig into most any gallery plugin and I’d imagine you’ll find the
   codes you need buried in there. Probably based on some of the info on the Gallery
   Shortcodes from the article above.

 * This plugin does exactly what you’re looking for. It uses a custom shortcode 
   that you can put into a paragraph or html block. Good luck.
