 * My site, [http://www.connectedrepublic.co.uk](http://www.connectedrepublic.co.uk)
keeps getting random Internal Server errors, and my hosting company (UK2.net)
believed it’s due to hitting my CPU usage limits.
 * They’ve told me to have a look through my scripts to make sure they’re all functioning
properly, but I’m not a developer, I just use highly rated plugins and a paid
   theme.
 * I was considering deactivating all the plugins and activating them one by one
until I find one that is causing the problem, but the Internal Server errors
are so random and difficult to recreate.
 * Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

 * There are many things you can do to optimize things and you can add caching and
all sorts of various tips and tricks, but at the end of the day it comes down
to a simple fact: If your site is getting enough traffic, then you will hit the
limits of your current server. You will eventually either need to upgrade to
a better server or move to a better hosting provider. It may be more expensive
than your current provider, but the truth of the matter is that a cheap hosting
plan only goes so far, and you can’t run a site getting a lot of traffic on a
   $5 a month plan.
 * So if you’re frequently maxing out your provider, then it’s time to move up to
a bigger plan or a better provider.

 * Sorry I should have specified; this is a very NEW blog, as in maybe 20 visitors
a week! Although I get what you’re saying, there is no way it is a traffic problem.

 * If you’re not getting any traffic and your host is complaining about CPU usage,
then you either have something else running on that server that you don’t know
about, or your host is just a terrible host.
 * Ask them for server logs to show you where the problem is.
