 * Hello everyone,
 * For a while I’ve been getting messages from Google Search Console about mobile
   issues with my website.
 * Basically, they say content is wider than screen and clickable elements too close
   together.
 * Well, I’m sure that my site doesn’t have any of these problems, and I can’t understand
   why google bot crawls it in a completely different way, but only sometimes.
 * Sometimes it crawls the site perfectly, sometimes it’s all a big mess.
 * These errors appear to be completely random and I just can’t find the reason.
   The site can be “mobile-friendly” today, and “not mobile-friendly” tomorrow,
   even if I don’t change anything.
 * The fact is that my site had a significant drop on search results after these
   issues start to show, and I’m almost sure these two things are connected.
 * What is your guess here? Server issues?
 * Thanks!!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Frandom-mobile-friendly-issues%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@apostasonlinept](https://wordpress.org/support/users/apostasonlinept/) ,

   I open your website on a mobile device and the general structure looks responsive.
   But some parts are not, as the red buttons and dropdown list below.
 * The issues with Google Search Console may be due to that. By testing multiple
   times your websites on multiple mobile devices, your website is not always responsive.
 * It is probably caused by the theme you used or how it’s coded.

 * This is a common problem. We have had this problem on client sites. It is absolutely
   painful to get it Google Search console to fix it but it is almost always a different
   fix. At least in my experience it can relate to XML site maps not being set up
   correctly, Google AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages), or a misconfigured (or badly
   coded) theme just to name a few causes. It is rarely server issues in my experience.
 * Hopefully this helps you get started on finding a fix and gets you going in the
   correct direction.

 * Hello and thank you for your help
 * I managed to resolve the issue, but it wasn’t easy at all.
 * First I moved the page to other server, without any results.
 * Then I was trying to deactivate all plugins but couldn’t solve the problem either.
 * Finally I noticed that I was getting a lot of page loading issues (about 50)
   inside the mobile-friendly test, and this detail caught my attention. My front
   page was indeed too “heavy” with lots of images and the code was a mess.
 * So I deleted a few pictures, I installed a lazy-load plugin and bought the premium
   version of a cache plugin, so I could also set a few new rules to optimize the
   code easily.
 * It had a dramatic effect on the performance of the site. Every test is mobile-
   friendly now and the page looks exactly the same as before, except for the sidebar
   that I removed.
 * Even the PageSpeed Insights test is completely different. I had a score of 30
   for mobile and 64 for desktop, Now I have 65 for mobile and 98 for desktop!
 * In the end it was not exactly a responsive issue, it was just slow.
 * Thanks once again for your help.
