# Random “Proper Database” Error

 * My WordPress blog has been working stellar the last few months, but without any
   recent editing, it is suddenly telling me:
 * “We’re having a little trouble selecting the proper database for WordPress.
 *  * Are you sure it exists?
    * Your database name is currently specified as kisei17_wrdp2.
   Is this correct? * On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with
   your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
 * WordPress Support Forums”
 * Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, as I have no idea what to do
   about this, beyond starting over, and I really don’t want to do that.
 * Fantastico, a program through Hostultra.com, automatically installed the blogging
   system on my site. There have been random slight problems in the past, but none
   like this, that won’t go away.

 * If you changed nothing, it is more than likely your host has been moving things
   around. Send them an email asking them if they have made any changes at all, 
   even little ones.
 * Alternatively, are you sure you did not change your password(s) at all for your
   website ?
