Hi @avirtualclickaway
I have just released v1.5.0 in which I have added the support for “redirect_to” parameter in the URL. Whatever URL we get in this parameter we will redirect to that URL after login.
Let us know if this works for you.
Super! I just updated the plug-in. Is there supposed to be a field where we input the redirect_to URL? I’m not seeing anything new on the IP Based Login Settings page.
Thanks!
Hi,
That comes in the url for eg. you ca place the link for the user as :
https://yoursite.com?redirect_to=https://yoursite.com/my-awesome-page/
Let me know if it works.
I guess I’m not understanding. We use the Wishlist Membership plug-in that already is set up to re-direct them after log-in to a specific page (when they log in normally with a username and password). But with this plugin, when I go to https://www.tech-talk.com/login to Log-in — I’m already logged in, but it stays on that page instead of going to the membership “home” page of https://www.tech-talk.com/articles.
So we were hoping there would be a fix for the re-direct to work. Are you saying that to just tell members to go to https://www.tech-talk.com/articles (instead of https://www.tech-talk.com) and they will be automatically logged in? Thanks!
Hi,
I think this should work :
https://www.tech-talk.com/?redirect_to= https://www.tech-talk.com/articles
I will try the Wishlist Membership plugin over the weekend to replicate the scenario.
Great! Let me please give you my scenario. We are using the Wishlist Member plug-in that protects pages/posts at different levels of memberships. We have whole schools and libraries that share the same user name/password. Each organization has a “branded” page that they are taken to after their login. With Wishlist, we designate the page for each level.
They would like an auto-login scenario based on their IP address(s) and we found your plug-in to make this work. Our only issue is that they go to Tech-Talk.com then click on Member log-in, and they are logged in automatically, but don’t go to their branded page. I was envisioning a new field added to the IP Login Settings page that we could enter the custom URL for that user to be re-directed to – kind of like how Wishlist does it. Thank you for looking into this!
Hi,
I tried to install WishList Member but it seems to be a premium plugin so couldn’t try it.
If you can make a test WordPress installation with this plugin or share the login details of a test user on your current site I can check it there.
You can send the login info at brijeshk89[@]gmail[dot]com
Wow- thank you for making this work with the Wishlist Member plug-in. Now when someone is a member within the IP range, they are not only logged in, but re-directed to the appropriate page. Works perfectly!
Glad to know it works!
Will release a new version with this fix in a couple if days.
