# Re-setup Dropbox.

 * I think I removed the permission to backup to Dropbox— is there a way to check
   and/or set it up again?
 * I deactivated updraft and deleted it, but when I re-installed it, it already 
   had everything, including old backups

 * If you are already connected to Dropbox, in **UpdraftPlus** >> **Settings** >
   > **Dropbox **you will see a message like [this](https://prnt.sc/A_yT5cguTwIn).
 * If not and you want to re-connect to it, click the Dropbox button [here](https://prnt.sc/ivZnXjzMuKGO)
   then scroll to the bottom of the page and click **Save Changes**. You will then
   be taken through the authentication process to allow you to send backups to your
   Dropbox account.
   After this, click the [rescan remote storage](https://prnt.sc/oyofBzOJMFPm)
   link on the **Backup / Restore** tab to [see](https://prnt.sc/hebUa2uedDo-) your
   Dropbox backups in the **Existing backups** section. Please note rescanning will
   add backups from the Dropbox directory irrespective of which site they were created
   on.

 * I found the re-set under advanced settings and got it working.
