For example the colors and images would not load. * Someone told me it was because there was a lot of blocked requests because it navigated between http and https, so they recommended Really Simple SSL to remedy this. * However, after downloading and activating the plugin, it seems to not work. * First I have this message : * “43% SSL is not yet enabled on this site. Warning : SSL is not enabled yet. Completed : An SSL certificate was detected on your site. Premium : HTTP Strict Transport Security is not enabled (Read more). Premium : Recommended security headers not enabled (Read more).” * So I click on the “Activate SSL” button then it turns to green and shows me this message : * “73%SSL is activated on your site. You still have 5 tasks open. `Open : SSL is now activated. Check if your website is secure by following this article. More info or dismiss * Open : WordPress 301 redirect enabled. We recommend to enable a 301 .htaccess redirect. Enable or dismiss * Open : New feature! HttpOnly Secure cookies have been set automatically! More info or dismiss * Completed : SSL is enabled on your site. Completed : An SSL certificate was detected on your site. Completed : Mixed content fixer was successfully detected on the front-end.” * It tells me that I have 5 tasks opened but I only see 3 of them, and when I click on “more info” or “enable” or dismiss” and then go to my Pages on the WP Dashboard to see if it fixed my problem of layout, the first message still appears : * “43% SSL is not yet enabled on this site. But as the site is protected with a password I wasn’t able to verify whether the Mixed Content had already been resolved. * Just let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you for your messages, I was busy and couldn’t find the time to keep you guys updated. I’ll explain the situation below in case anyone in the future encounters the same problem. Since I’m new to this, I hope that it’s not some basic issue that is not listed on troubleshooting guides since it’s so obvious. * Reminder : Colors and images would appear inside Elementor but not on the live page. Someone told me to fix the SSL with the plugin Really simple SSL, but the plugin would get to 73 % and then reset to 43%. * I had the same problem with the plugin Updraft Plus that would not finish the backup. * When I understood that since two plugins were failing, the problem had to come from somewhere else. * It was caused by the “wp_postmeta” table inside my database that was over its quota of 150 MB. * I used the plugin WP Optimize which identified a lot of junk in this table (mostly from Woocomerce, really heavy plugin). Once the junk was identified, there was 148 MB of overheads. * In order to delete the overheads go to your cPanel > PHPMyAdmin/MySQL>Action> Synchronize the quotas * And then everything was working fine ! I contacted Elementor who will add this step to their[ troubleshooting guide](https://elementor.com/help/changes-dont-appear-online/) * I also told Updraft Plus about this issue to add it to the list of reasons why their plugin might not work * I hope this helps other people if one your plugins looks likes it’s working but then resets. * Thanks again to [@jarnovos](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jarnovos/) and [@rogierlankhorst](https://wordpress.org/support/users/rogierlankhorst/) for your answers.
