 * Hello,
 * the plugin support team of woocomerce suggested me to post here my question regarding
   reCAPTCHA. Please check the [ticket on their forum](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/recaptcha-227/)
   to delve deep into my inquiry.
 * I completed the setup for Google reCAPTCHA. The reCAPTCHA badge is now in my
   store, but I continuously receive emails from Google about it not being active.
   As far as I understand your [guide](https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/fraud-and-disputes/#section-4),
   my reCAPTCHA is working and active because the badge is visible on my live website.
   So, why does Google always send me these emails? Furthermore, why on my woocommerce
   home page it always appears the message:
 * “Activate PayPal fraud management – PayPal detected increased suspicious card
   activity in market. Please enable fraud protection in your PayPal Payment settings
   by enabling CAPTCHA for PayPal Payments.”
 * By clicking on it and I am redirected to the WooCommerce PayPal Payments reCAPTCHA
   page under option under integration/tools. And it is active and all set up.
 * I am looking forward to hearing you.
 * Best regards,
 * Giuseppe

 * Hi [@govisola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/govisola/) ,
 * Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.
 * We take a look at your site – we see both the v2 and v3 integrated reCAPTCHA
   loaded correctly. You can dismiss the reCAPTCHA notice, but the underlying validation
   issue with Google’s emails needs to be addressed separately.
 * Separately, Google sends emails about reCAPTCHA not being active when there were
   no verification request reach their servers.
 * Here is the recommended next steps:
    1. Test actual verification – complete a test checkout to trigger verification
       requests to Google.
    2. Ensure your domain is correctly set up in Google reCAPTCHA admin.
    3. Double check all keys to confirm both v2 and v4 site/secret keys are properly
       configured – it is worth checking again.
 * The WooCommerce notice can be dismissed, but Google’s emails will continue until
   actual verification requests are successfully processed by their servers. It
   is also important to note that the admin notice system and Google’s email system
   operate independently.’
 * We look forward to your response.
 * Best Regards,
   Jamie

 * Hello [@jamieong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamieong/)
 * thank you for helping me out.
    1. could you please send me an official guide to simulate a purchase?
    2. how can I check if my domain is correctly on Google reCAPTCHA? I am now on my
       Google Cloud Admin panel, and I see my website. Regarding the V3 it actually
       says “Secure Key requires tokens and scores Everything is configured correctly
       and the site or app is secure.” It also says: (green) “frontend – config” and(
       green) “Backend – set up”. On the other hand, regarding the V2, it says “No
       activity, Your key hasn’t requested a token in the last 6 weeks. There may be
       a problem with your key configuration, or your site or app may not be receiving
       customer visits. Your site or app may not be protected.” and: (yellow) “frontend–
       config” and (yellow) “Backend – set up”.
    3. there are no v4. As the guide suggests, we must create v2 and v3, and in my
       WooCommerce admin, both are correct.
 * I am looking forward to hearing from you.
 * Best,
 * Gisueppe

 * Hi [@govisola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/govisola/) ,
 * Apologies on a typo on “v4”, we were referring to v3. As for where to verify
   if v2 and v3 were loaded on your site, you can go to the browser’s console log(
   F12 for Windows, or right-click Inspect Element for Mac).
 * Here is a sample of what it looks like, this is from your site – [here](https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1UVTR9DDM5xAeFkUI5bnq74f5esfGCAkK).
 * On the live site, you can only place a transaction to test the entire flow –
   so it will be an actual transaction, not a test. You will need a live card and
   complete a transaction.
 * Out of curiosity, was there new transactions since the integrated reCAPTCHA has
   been configured?
 * We look forward to your response.
 * Best Regards,
   Jamie

 * Hello [@jamieong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamieong/)
 * there were no transactions since the integrated reCAPTCHA has been configured.
 * Do you want me to buy with using the paypal button or do you want to add an item
   in the chart ect and buy it (with card? paypal?) ? But I am not sure if I wan
   to do it.. It seems something wrong…:( Should I create a 1 euro fake item? Maybe
   a digital one? And buy it?
 * Thank you for the screenshot. Since you already checked it, what other things
   except simulate a purchase should I complete?
 * I am looking forward to hearing from you.

 * Hi Giuseppe,
 * You can also connect to a sandbox account to create a test transaction. However,
   this requires disconnecting your Live account temporarily while you run the test.
 * Here is how you can do it: [https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/account-setup-and-onboarding/#section-5](https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/account-setup-and-onboarding/#section-5)
 * Alternatively, to speed up the whole process we suggest you to contact us directly
   for further assistance. You can open a ticket with our service desk. Here’s how
   you can request support: [Request Support]([https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/](https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/)).
   Please make sure to include the URL of this thread in your ticket for reference.

 * Hello [@jamieong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamieong/)
 * thank you for your answer. Are you asking me to open a new ticket in an external
   website?
 * Can someone, other than Jamie, confirm that it is a real request? I never experienced
   something like that.
 * Thank you in advance.

 * Hello [@govisola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/govisola/)
 * This is not particularly a plugin issue, so let me clarify what’s happening.
   When we originally integrated reCAPTCHA, we tested it using the basic / classic
   configurator which is essentially plug-and-play. Over time, we noticed that some
   users started creating keys via Google Cloud Console. While this is a bit more
   modern and less intuitive, functionally, it does the same thing.
 * However, keys created through Google Cloud Console sometimes trigger additional
   messages or emails from Google regarding verification or configuration. I’ve
   experienced this myself, even in setups where everything was working correctly.
 * > On the other hand, regarding the V2, it says “No activity, Your key hasn’t
   > requested a token in the last 6 weeks. There may be a problem with your key
   > configuration, or your site or app may not be receiving customer visits. Your
   > site or app may not be protected.” and: (yellow) “frontend – config” and (yellow)“
   > Backend – set up”.
 * This is expected. I haven’t seen v2 trigger myself on any site. When I want to
   force it for testing, I usually have to use an Afghanistan VPN IP, so it’s unlikely
   that many real users will encounter it. It also depends on the threshold score,
   which you can adjust and set higher.
 * If you are **not** seeing errors in the browser console related to token loading,
   and the PayPal iframe opens correctly during checkout, then reCAPTCHA is working
   as intended. The messages you may see in Google Cloud are related to their push
   toward enterprise integration, especially when using third-party services like
   plugins. They usually refer to using legacy secret keys with third-party integrations
   rather than a fully native Enterprise API implementation. So these notices are
   more informational than functional; they do not necessarily mean something is
   broken.
 * If you continue receiving configuration-related warnings from Google, it would
   be best to reach out to Google directly for clarification, as this sits on their
   side rather than the plugin’s.
 * Kind Regards
   Krystian

 * Hello [@inpsydekrystian](https://wordpress.org/support/users/inpsydekrystian/)
 * Thank you for the clarification.
 * I do not see any errors in the google cloud page.
 * What do you mean with this: “the PayPal iframe opens correctly during checkout”?
   And at what time do you refer? After the checkout or on the cart page, before
   purchasing an item?
 * I am looking forward to hearing from you.

 * Hi [@govisola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/govisola/) ,
 * We are referring to the PayPal payment popup that appears **after** you’ve filled
   out your checkout information and clicked the PayPal payment button – not before
   purchasing an item.
 * Let us know if you have further questions.

 * Hello [@jamieong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jamieong/)
 * thank you. Please forgive me, but I am lost. Since there are no errors, the only
   thing I need to do is check whether it works after buying an item, right with
   that sandbox method you gave me? Or, because I set everything up and there are
   no errors, can I consider my job done?
 * I am looking forward to hearing from you.

 * Hello [@govisola](https://wordpress.org/support/users/govisola/)
 * You don’t need to test anything further at this point. Everything is working
   correctly. The reCAPTCHA v3 token is loading on your checkout page, and there
   are no errors being triggered.
 * Based on my experience with this integration, no additional steps are required.
   If there were configuration issues, you would typically see console errors or
   the PayPal iframe failing to load and that is not happening in your case. So
   yes, you can consider this complete.
 * Kind Regards
   Krystian
