I was using v2. * So I set up the keys and updated the website. * When I set up the keys I got this warning: * > Note: The scores for this site may not be accurate before running with sufficient > live traffic. Please see our developer site for more information. * I had a look at the developer site and it is also over my head. So I empathise with the plugin author who no one is really saying thank you and just complaining. * In he-insight I would suggest supporting v3 as a choice and then users can choose which recaptcha system to use. That is if it is practical to do. When I went to update this plugin on multiple sites I manage to then have to obtain new keys from Google and then see this badge throughout the entire website. Many clients are not going to want to see this on every page of their site (it especially looks clunky and out of place on mobile). * I would agree that having the option to use v2 or v3 sounds like the most practical solution. The two versions share the same endpoint ([https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js](https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js)), but, of course, they use completely different approaches. Also, as an API key itself doesn’t contain any information about its version, you can’t tell whether you are using v2 or v3. * Even if there was a possibility to make the two versions selectable, I bet it would cause more chaotic situation than what you see now. * IMO, reCAPTCHA v3 is a great masterpiece. Users who accept v3 will soon realize it’s advantages. There is no reason to go back to the absurd “I’m not a robot” checkbox. * I believe v3 also has made great improvement especially in terms of accessibility.
