# recent max shortcode not working

 * I installed the latest version of nextgen. Everything works like it’s supposed
   to except a shortcode.
 * I want to show a gallery on a page with 8 recent photos uploaded from that gallery,
   with no pagination. I input this code:
 * [nggallery id=1 template=galleryview recent max=8]
 * It still shows 9 photos here: [http://manicabana.com/lacquerlowdown/spy-princess-nail-lacquer/](http://manicabana.com/lacquerlowdown/spy-princess-nail-lacquer/)
 * Help would be appreciated.
