# Recent posts missing

 * I was planning my upgrade when all of a sudden I noticed that the last 5 or 6
   posts have gone “missing”, sort of. I can see them in the Manage dashboard and
   even edit them but the preview shows them as 404. Even if I save them again.
 * I’m not sure how to check for where the content went or why it seems partially
   linked, so if someone has some ideas, I’d really appreciate it.
 * I was thinking that it would be better if all the posts were working _before 
   _I upgraded. And it seems to be listing everything in reverse order; that is,
   from oldest to newest. I don’t know why. I don’t think I changed anything but
   I was poking around in the options a few days ago. I don’t recall changing anything.
 * I just tried to post one just now and it goes missing as well. Any thoughts on
   what to check/fix?

 * Something is wrong with your permalinks settings (Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks).
   Confirm that **Day and name** is still selected, and then click **Save Changes**(
   do this even if you haven’t changed anything).

 * Well, that was it. I clicked on update permalinks, now everything shows up.
 * Thanks for the help! Now I can upgrade.
