    Hi,

We’re currently using this plugin and have noticed an issue with the recipe search form. When users search for something like “Brazil” the results include recipes from random countries that only mention the word “Brazil” as a keyword, rather than showing all recipes categorized under Brazil.

Here is page link inlcuding form: https://www.beryl.nyc/index.php/recipe-index/

Ideally, if someone searches “Brazil” it should display all recipes assigned to the Brazil category, not unrelated recipes that happen to contain the word in their text or metadata.

Is there a way to configure the search so it prioritizes or restricts results based on recipe categories (such as country or cuisine) instead of loosely matching keywords?

We’d appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

That search is not actually handled by our plugin. I assume it uses the default WordPress functionality, which will indeed search through the title and post content for matches.

You could try using a plugin like https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-extended-search/ to customize what the search looks through.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht
