• Resolved Jslat

I’ve been adding lots of recipes to a new site and have just noticed that the plugin is replacing the recipes on already published posts with the recipes on new posts over writing the existing recipe. Is there any way to resolve this or do i have to remove them all and start again with another plugin?

  • Hey @jslat!

That sounds absolutely terrible! Can you send me an email at hello at ziprecipes.net . Let me know what you see when you edit an old post by going to Text tab in the editor and looking for a shortcode like this: [amd-zlrecipe-recipe: SOME_NUMBER_HERE]

These shortcodes should be unique to each recipe and post.

    Hi,

Right ok, yes that’s answered it. Not a problem with the plugin per se, more to do with how i was using it.
I’ve been cloning the posts, then editing the recipe in the new post. I didn’t realise that this didn’t then create a new entry in the DB for a recipe. So it’s essentially just been copying the shortcode across then I’ve been editing the recipe associated with it.
The plugin works well so I’ll keep using it and make sure when i clone a post i then remove the cloned recipe in the new post and then add a new one to make sure there’s a new number in the short code.
    Thanks for your help.

Happy to help, @jslat! Let me know if you run into anything else.
