 * 1. It’s been working for years before this. 4.4.1 borked it. 🙂

   is a working, valid email. 3. My host checked it and said that the email isn’t
   even being generated, not just not being sent.

 * I believe it is more that your email needs to be in the < > brackets, as shown
   in the above linked page:
 * John Smith <john@example.com> — is how it should be setup, so
    [your-name] <no-
   reply@fairyography.com> is what it should likely be.

 * Sorry to jump into a topic that isn’t mine but I have the same exact problem,
   after 4.4.1 update the contact form just crashed and it was working well a long
   time ago…

   the way you have setup the email address in your form is invalid.
 * When you fix that you still possibly won’t be able to send emails from Dreamhost
   via Gmail. Dreamhost has very tight email sending policies to control spam.
