# Redirect Loop – Please please help

 * So i was getting ready to make my wordpress site live as its in a directory and
   i had it all working fine.
 * I used this guide [http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory](http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory)
   
   I was in the general part of the wp-admin and there is a spot where it asks what
   folder to point too: _This is the bit from the wordpress guide i was using” Go
   to the General panel. In the box for Site address (URL): change the address to
   the root directory’s URL. Example: [http://example.com](http://example.com)
 * Anyway i had done this and then went to change the other one but i decided to
   leave as was and didnt save that change(i had already changed and saved the one
   the guide told me)
 * I finished the rest of the guide and realised i had done everything right and
   the site was working perfectly.
 * Thats when it went wrong. I went back to the general tab and ACCIDENTLY saved
   the other change i made earlier that i realised was wrong and now i cant access
   my admin panel and it appears i am in a 301 redirect loop.
 *  when i go to mybuttonbouquet/wordpress/wp-admin it redirects me below.
 * Please please help and i promise i will never do anything this stupid again

 * I have basically got the same problem and is very frustrating.
    Initially i had
   a 506 error my website and blog site went offline then came good but like you
   when I type in [http://myexample.com/wp/wp-admin](http://myexample.com/wp/wp-admin)
   I am redirected to the visitors login page and I cannot access the admin login
   page to update information. The visitors login is fine. If I sort out the problem
   before you I will be sure to let you know.

 * So i got mine working – but not sure how – i jumped on elance and found a dude

 * I highly recommend him as he was incredible! and had it fixed within an hour.
