# Redirect loop problem on WordPress install

 * Hi,
 * I’ve come across some other people having similar issues but the remedies listed
   don’t seem to be working for me (changing the .htaccess file, clearing cache,
   for instance).
 * I updated the wp-config.php file with my settings and when I go to run my website
   url.com/index.php (it’s installed in the root), I get the “This webpage has a
   redirect loop” error. Could the problem be related to the fact that there is 
   currently a WordPress install running in a subfolder?
 * Any help is appreciated.
